Announcement by Founder and CEO, Dave Fardoe:-
Some people say a change is as good as a rest. Well today I would tend to agree with them, as after seven years at the helm of Accordant, the time for change has arrived.
Not that I am leaving, at least not totally; yet today is the start of a new and exciting role for me: Founder and Chairman. Sounds good, and I’m looking forward to the new challenges that it brings.
When I founded the company in 2013, I wanted to build a business that put people at the heart of what we did. I can look back on that now and say that overall it has been successful. Of course, there have been bumps along the way, some things turned out not as expected, yet each has been a valuable learning point, and at each turn, we held true to the values of fair balance, doing what is right and treating people right. My role now is to take that learning and pass it on, not just to the new leadership, but to all my contacts and clients within and without Accordant. I also have some new and exciting opportunities to pursue in parallel, but more of that later.
Today, I’m genuinely delighted to announce that Darren Piper has stepped up to the role of Managing Director. Darren has many years of industry experience and brings with him a passion and energy for success that I know will drive Accordant forwards. I’d like to thank him and the rest of the Board – my Co-Founder Jon, Anja, Mary, Phil and William – for their amazing support over the years, and I look forward to driving the business on together.
Congratulations Darren and William; two weeks and two new appointments – Change is good, and we have the team to succeed.
